Fall makeup trends inspired by Mad Men

If cat-eyes don't refer to the peepers on your favorite feline and mad men doesn't describe your dating past, then this fall's eye makeup trends are going to be right up your street.

According to Canada.com, fashionable ladies will experiment with retro shades and techniques this fall in order to create a more dramatic eye. For such a look, Sephora beauty expert recommends a layering technique because ultimately "the cat eye is back this year."

Thanks to the sixties glamour and pencil skirts featured in the hit show, Mad Men, makeup artists are bringing this style up to the face, choosing to promote this program's vintage classiness.

Similarly, Eyeweekly.com reveals that makeup packaging is looking to the past for a blast of sultry style this fall. Describing lipstick and nail polish bottles as "inspired by James Bond," the products give the impression that any lady on any budget can create her own look full of vintage, dramatic mystery.

More demure types should not shy away from a bit of spice in their makeup routine - simply choose a lighter shade of eyeshadow and delicately apply the darker eyeliner.
