Give your BBQ and tablewear a healthy makeover

The weather may have cooled off a bit and your BBQ is probably starting to feel lonely. Give the grill some love this hockey season, by firing up those coals and roasting some game time snacks.

As many Canadians are concerned with their waistlines – in that they do not continue to expand - it might be a novel idea to watch hockey games with healthier grilled delights. Soyfoods Canada will certainly hope you try throwing some tofu steaks or soy hot dogs on the BBQ before the weather gets too cold to venture outside.

In fact, a recent survey conducted by Angus Reid on behalf of Soyfoods Canada reported that 85 percent of Canadian families are trying to be healthier. Sadly, 59 percent of families have no clue how to cook soy foods, making the next game day the perfect time to try out this heart-friendly food.

“From soy based beverages and yogurt-type products, to meat substitutes, and baked goods made from soy, there is something for everyone,” advises Soyfoods Canada's president Todd Hoffman.

You never know - this soy revolution could be the talk of upcoming Canadiens games, in between player analysis and team projections, of course. ADNFCR-2437-ID-19394001-ADNFCR
