Give your home theater some exercise

The kids have watched their Disney favorites on that high definition television and your husband and guy friends have thoroughly stretched the home theater speakers with their action movie nights.

Now, there's a new way to learn about your humble home theater's capabilities - or to consider purchasing your own for the first time.

Radiohead are coming to Canada's AUX cable channel in a glorious blast of sound and live performance in the premier of their special feature, Radiohead: From the Basement. This hour-long concert includes a plethora of tracks from the band's latest full-length album, In Rainbows, and a few old favorites from The Bends and OK Computer are sure to be sprinkled amongst the newer tunes.

This may be an excellent opportunity to test out and show off a new home theater, or to give the old model a run for its money. Prior to the concert, get in the mood with a half-hour television launch party where comedians and AUX special guests preview the coming season's entertainment.

Music fans should be pleased to hear that the home theater won't go straight back to its diet of Disney. AUX also plans to show interviews with Nirvana's late singer, Kurt Cobain that were recorded for his biography, Come as You Are: The Story of Nirvana.
