• Reacclimatize plants brought indoors for Winter. Reintegrate them on a day with similar temperatures to indoors by first placing them in the shade and out of the wind and then moving them later again.
• Start seedlings indoors or in a greenhouse:
  
  • Enrich last year's potting soil with slow release fertilizer and compost
  • Fill seeding flats with moist potting mixol
  • Scatter small seeds evenly over the surface of the flats
  • Plant larger seeds individually to minimize the need to thin them later
  • Label flats and pots
  • Cover with plastic to maintain humidity until germination
  • Keep out of direct sunlight
